สาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย (Republic of Indonesia) ดอกกล้วยไม้ราตรี

ดอกกล้วยไม้ราตรี Moon Orchid หรือ กล้วยไม้ราตรี เป็นกล้วยไม้ในสายพันธุ์ Phalaenopsis amabilis ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในสามของดอกไม้ประจำชาติอินโดนีเซีย โดยดอกไม้ประจำชาติที่เหลือ คือ ดอก Jasmin-num sambacและดอก Rafflesia arnoldii ดอก Moon Orchid เป็นหนึ่งในบรรดาดอกกล้วยไม้ที่บานนานที่สุด โดยช่อดอกสามารถแตกกิ่งและอยู่ได้นานถึง 2-6 เดือน โดยปกติดอก Moon Orchid จะบาน 2-3 ครั้งต่อปี ก่อนจะโตเต็มที่ สามารถเจริญเติบโตได้ดีในอากาศชื้น จึงมักพบทั่วไปในที่ราบต่ำของประเทศอินโดนีเซีย

Moon Orchid is the national flower of Indonesia

The Moon Orchid or Angrek bulan (Phalaenopsis Amabilis) is one of Indonesia’s three national flowers. The other two are Jasminum sambac and the Rafflesia arnoldii. The Moon Orchid is one of the longest blooming orchids. The inflorescence are branched and can last from two to six months before dropping. The Moon Orchid usually blooms two to three times a year once it has reached maturity. It thrives in moist temperature so it is widely found in the lowlands of Indonesia.
